I recall seeing my first email address in my high school yearbook. It must have been a CompuServe email because it had a bunch of random digits in it. Anyways, I remember thinking, “What’s that?”

Fast forward several decades and I’m making a solid career in a little industry called email marketing.

As a digital marketer, I bring this up because with all the talk about generative AI, I like to remind myself – and anyone else who’s reading this – this is not the first time a new industry popped up.

Throughout my career, I have learned that embracing challenges leads to growth and remarkable achievements. Generative-AI presents us with a new frontier to explore, understand, and leverage in our digital marketing strategies. And like that asperand symbol that appeared in my high school yearbook, the challenge that comes with working alongside AI algorithms spark my curiosity and ignite my passion for continuous learning. Pushing boundaries and confronting challenges head-on uncovers the extraordinary opportunities that lie within.

Remember, you have to leave the comfort zone to discover the magic!

The promise of generative-AI for digital marketers
